Bay Area Wilderness Training, (BAWT) holds its 4th Annual Climb of Mt. Shasta on July 29 August 1, 2005. Climbers leave from the San Francisco area Friday morning 7/29 and return Monday 8/1. The guided trek runs Sat/Sun/Mon. Room for 16 climbers. All skill levels welcome. Training hikes are scheduled starting in April. All participants raise $2500 minimum to support BAWT’s year-round program. BAWT’s mission is to introduce urban youth to the power and beauty of wilderness. We train adults who can then borrow our gear free of charge to get youth outdoors. For more information about the BAWT climb contact carolyn@bawt.org or visit www.bawt.org.
